I am based within the Centre for Security, Communications and Network Research for work in the area of Online Privacy. I completed my PhD in the area at the end of 2007, just as Facebook had taken a hold and it was clear social media had a large part to play in everyday life.

In addition to research into Privacy, I am keen on developing good practice in teaching Computing at all levels and as such have been the regional coordinator for the CAS South West Regional Centre from 2014 to 2018, and am now the lead for the South West Regional Delivery Partner for the National Centre for Computing Education.
